Ms. Regina Pinpin - Chief Instructor

Ms. Pinpin is passionate about teaching the pee wees, kids, and adults.

Ms. Pinpin motivates, instructs and inspires students in a positive way while challenging them to be better martial artists, students, and unltimately, members of the community.

Ms. Pinpin coordinates all the special events of the school as the designated Event Planner.  Events are well planned and scheduled for the student body to enjoy themselves and be a part of the Foster City Family.  She is also the historian, taping and photographing all events.  She coordinates the student souvenir collages and provides the school yearbook every five years.

She grew up in San Francisco.  She came from a family of Martial Artists.  Her mom trained in Escrima Stick fighting, her dad in western boxing and her 2 uncles, the Canja brothers, were also Black Belts in Kajukenbo Karate.  In regards to education, she attended Lowell High school and graduated from San Francisco State University with a Double Major Bachelor’s Degree in Child Psychology and Industrial Psychology/Human Resources.  She worked at the University of California, San Francisco, in organization of the Women Health Education Department.  Regina also taught Saturday religion classes at Corpus Christi for over 15 years, Catechists ranging from 5 years old to 14 years old.  She has taught martial art classes in San Francisco, Daly City, Burlingame, San Mateo, Emeryville, Oakland, and of course, Foster City.  She has been there since December of 1995.  She has also instructed the United Studios Teaching Academy in the Bay Area, and is a member of the Northern Region District Management Team.

She coordinates the martial Arts demos and the Safe Kids Campaign throughout the year. She loves to share the Magic of the Martial Arts.  Ms. Regina Pinpin has also set up corporate seminars and after school Kenpo Karate Programs such as the South San Francisco Boys and Girls Club, and the Jewish Day School.  She loves to write the karate scripts for the Foster City Arts and Wine Festival United Studios Segments.  She has a great teaching staff, where each of them trained under her.  She is proud of her staff as well as her student body of over 240 students.  Since her beginning as a Chief Instructor she has promoted close to 26 Black Belts.

In her spare time Ms. Regina Pinpin loves to take pictures, scrapbook, and write short stories.  She coordinates parties and fund raising events.  She participates in many sports; running, bowling, and golf.  She has traveled to many different places around the world, fro the USA to Asia, to the Pacific Islands, and to Australia.  Her goal when she was younger was to try every martial art that the country had to offer.  However, when she’s back home she loves to interior decorate, play the piano, and think of ways to keep her Martial Arts school fun and exciting.

She has many passions in life, and she keeps it all balanced.  The passion for teaching, the passion for helping others, and the passion for sharing all that’s good in this world.
