Yegan Ghaemi
Yegan Ghaemi has been a member of United Studios of Self Defense for over thirteen years. She has experience in Jiujutsu, Wing Chun, and Kung-Fu, but her main passion and emphasis is in the art of Shaolin Kempo. Her martial arts training began with non-formal lessons from her uncle, also a pratitioner of Kempo, and continued formally in Concord, California. She has been training and teaching at the Foster City Dojo for ten years, and calls the dojo her second home. She is currently a student at San Francisco State Univeristy, majoring in Child Psychology. In her spare time, Yegan enjoys writing, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. Martial Arts is her greatist passion, and she teaches with the hope of being able to pass some of the joy and fufillment she received from her training on to her students.

Kerry LeVan
Mr. Kerry Levan is a 2nd Dan Black Belt and a part time instructor. He became a student at United Studios of Self Defense, Hunnington Beach II in Southern California, over 10 years ago. His oldest son Matt is also a Black Belt and part time instructor in United Studios of Self Defense, Foster City.
He has experience in High School and Collegiate level wrestling. Also prior experience in marathons and has ran 13 marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 1997.
He owns a construction company that specializes in Insurance restoration in both Southern and Northern California.

Gabriel Green
Mr. Green has been practicing Martial Arts for over 25 years. As well as training in Shaolin Kempo, Mr. Green also holds rank in Tang Soo Do (a Korean Martial Art). Mr. Green has also received training in Tae Kwan Do, Okinawa Kempo, and Tai Chi. Mr. Green is currently training in the art of ESKABO Daan (a filipino stick fighting art based on Escrima, Serrada, Kali, Arnis, Boxing, and Jeet Kune Do).
A Texan, born in California, Mr. Green has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1989. When he finds time, Mr. Green also works full time as a DBA/Programmer/Analyst for San Francisco State University.

Christian DeMeco
Christian DeMeco is a Nidan Black Belt, and a professionally certified instructor with United Studios of Self Defense. He is also a coach and motivational counselor, incorporating his Eastern Philosophy training and martial arts to help others improve the quality of their relationships. He has studied Shaolin Kempo, Shaolin Kung-fu, Wing Chun, and White Crane Qin Na, as well as trained with the Shaolin monks in California and at the Shaolin Temple of China.
Christian’s objective is to use his background in psychology and motivation to teach children, teens, and adults the contemporary application of the traditional values of martial arts training.

Jennifer Hayes
Ms. Hayes is a Shodan Black Belt, and began her training at United Studios Foster City in 1999. She has excelled in weapons and teaches bow staff, straight sword, single and double sword, sais, spear, kali sticks and nuncaku.
